Tag, you're it: The Versatile Blogger award!

Beth, from Boatshed chic  has tagged me for a Versatile Blogger award. Woohoo. Very Very Very Stoked. Very Stoked with capitals! And very thankful, thankyou Beth!!

"If you receive this award you list seven random things about yourself that people might find interesting, and then give the award to ten to fifteen blogs that you've recently discovered".

Here goes nothing kids, all you ever needed to know, and some things that some of you already know.

1.On travel: I have lived in 8 countries, worked in 6, lived in 7 cities, 2 medium sized town and 4 country towns, and hung out in many many many more and many many places.

2. On Art: My favourite artist is Antoni Tapies, and my favourite potter is Hans Coper.

3.On collecting: I have a mini collection of miniature etchings, a mini collection of miniature books, and a mini collection of fishing creels, and a mini collection of teacups and saucers.

4.On books and reading: Our bookshelves are taking over the house, and are full to the brim and over flowing

5.Like some other recipients out there, I'm nerd enough to google search this award back through all 94 google pages of hits (and no I did not read everyone) to see if I could find how long this award has been going for and where the origins are. 3 million hits, and nothing obviously saying "I started it". The only thing I can confirm is that the majority were 2010 and 2011.

6. I'm sitting hugging a mug of lem-sip, and when I talk its a great imitation of Marrianne Faithful after a hard night. Fatguts is on one side of the desk, skinny on the other, Dusty is sulking on the day bed and our visitor poppy is curled up on the rug behind me. And yes, they are all animals, and yes, I'm sick...again.
The combination of wedding preparations, rain, winter, work stress, air con office, the need for a break, and a couple of late sleep interrupted nights has worked its wonders on me. I'm laid up with my uggs, trackies, wooly cardy, scarf, heater, and the droning sound of the elecric saw and builders digging under the house for company, who entertain me with a chorus that ranges from "Aww fark" to their best rendition of Beyonce, or whoever else happens to be on the radio. My ears are blocked and I'm in need of a new stock of hankies!

7. This is my third blog. My first blogs "Satellite Movement" and "Desert Dame" were started in 2002.
